    For Windows users:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

    Open "hosts" in notepad

    At the bottom of the file on a new line add:

    80.82.70.124 ourdirtypleasure.com
    80.82.70.124 www.ourdirtypleasure.com

    Save the file.
    Windows Key + R or Start -> Run
    Type: ipconfig /flushdns
    Hit enter, restart your web-browser.

    Considering my IP changes with a flick of a switch, I leveled my cookies and have been pretty active, not to mention it is redirected to what is apparently hosts site instead of just the forums with a locked account, I don't think it's inactivity. 'Specially since I log on to check on stuff several times I week.

    But in the off chance I am wrong and have indeed erred in some way as to mark myself for inactivity and this being what this is all about, could you kindly send some form of an invite to slaugtherer@hotmail.com ?

    @Anonymous - It's not your user account that got suspended, but rather the hosting account the site is run off.

    Unfortunately there's nothing anyone but Brown can do about this so we'll just have to hope he notices soon!

    Yeah, I'd say get a dedicated server with unlimited bw tbh.
    With a big forum like this there's no reason to pay tons to some random hosting provider while you could have your own dedi running for ~ 20 a month.

    No, ODP will be back whenever Brown realises there's a problem and sorts it out.

    As for when that will be, I can not say other than hopefully soon. He's been focusing on real life stuff recently and has not been around on ODP much.

    Unfortunately the only contact email I have for him is an ODP one... and to state the obvious as the site was disabled that won't work :(

    I don't know about this host what Brown is using, but once when i forgot to pay my bills for my site my host send me email. On my registered email - hotmail. So some of them warns you, so there's a chance that Brown will be warned too, hehehe. ^^

    If it doesn't come back up, we'll just start another site. Don't get me wrong, like everyone else, I hope, want, and need ODP to come back up...but if it doesn't we'll just start over. I've got over 600 files & close to 16GB of hypno-audio alone to get started.

    Are you guys actively sought out for copyright issues? I know that files get deleted from hosting sites often but knowing that our niche isn't incredibly popular I would think they would be rare.

    Now is a bad time to suggest, but I am all for a torrent site if you guys have any experience with trackers. Makes it easier to get files (and faster too!).

    Torrents won't help. It's not impossible for a domme to get an account, open up a torrent file in a torrent program, get all of our IPs and then send DMCA requests to our ISPs.

    And them being faster is not necessarily true. Considering how many people leech on the site now without giving anything back, why in the fuck would you assume a tracker would be any different? They'll leech and never seed, so each file will only have very few people seeding them. So they'll be slow. As shit. Probably even slower than Oron.

    Also, considering what happened to TPB, it's apparently a lot easier to use a tracker than it is to use a site that links to copyrighted material.

    Torrents is a very bad suggestion, a domme would be able to join the swarm and just pick out everyone's IP, torrents are very insecure.
    At least www filesharing sites are usually just deleting files and not sharing IP's from uploaders (let alone downloaders). I say, usually.
    As for TPB, it's an unfair example, it was and is the best known tracker for all sorts of pirated material. Beside trying to make an example out of them they also have a very large crowd actively using it for sharing thus making for a higher sum of money to be collected in a succesful lawsuit.

    Anyway, there is no way to be 100% secure when it comes to these kinds of things, not even on a closed private board.
    Hell, underground scene sites with super small user bases (we're talking 20/60 peeps here) can't even keep their shit secure sometimes and get busted.

    I don't mind torrents. The closest it is possible to track me is "he lives in one of these 50.000 houses".

    I understand though that not all people are nearly as computer savy and have the correct setup of network around them to pull this off. ODP was a perfect setup for your averag PC user.

    I read that ODP website is having tech problems still getting system resources. I didn't realize, as the only one logged on, that 4 web page views would exceed the system resources.

    Any idea when the ODP website will be back, and back with decent resources? It's basically a "dead website walking" right now.
