I think Underhost finally disconnected the website. Which means all of the files are probably now gone. Which I don't believe any of us have backed up (aside from maybe Brown who we still can't get in contact with). Domain name expired, hopefully someone else doesn't grab it before we can!

Godaddy couldn't bill his credit card either it seems. Maybe this really is a billing issue and not a DMCA issue after all! Or maybe not. See the second update below after the jump.

On the plus side, CN just sent me the database from February 11th a couple of minutes ago!

New post because Blogger is stupid (and some updates)

Apparently it limits to 200 replies and if you want to load more you have to press "Load More" which is under the text box for some stupid ass reason. And apparently people don't realize that.

Do not post stupid comments like "WHERE IS THE SITE", "WHEN WILL IT COME BACK!?" "HOW MAGNETS WORK", "WHO WAS PHONE", etcetcetc. We can't answer them so why even bother asking them?

I will not only post a new entry here (lrn2RSSkthx) if/when the site does come back, I will also send out a mass email to all users who have active accounts (You used a real email right? I hope so!). Both will happen once I finish the prune I was doing before the site died (about half done or so - so far only 2 people have being allowed to not lose their account out of 12000, would be nice if I had a place to host the database to start deleting more users while we wait).

Looks like the bills didn't get paid

As far as I can currently tell, ODP's monthly fee wasn't paid. Brown signed up for some automatic billing thing so I'm assuming he got a new credit card with a new expiration date and just forgot to update ODP's.

We've sent him an email, and hopefully he sees it... Since he never seems to answer mine :[

The server is being shitty once more

Just figured I should post a blog post here this time, the site is being ridiculously slow once more. We can't do much about it, so don't bother reporting it at all. CN said something about switching to his own server, but by the time he gets on the server might have sorted itself out (for a couple of days until it all happens all over again, apparently).

Calm Down Dos

PhpBB has a major bug (that the developers won't recognize as an actual bug because they apparently cannot reproduce it) that causes the server MYSQL database to lock up from continuous requests to the database or something.

Anyway, there's nothing we can do about it. Brown has to contact his host and tell them to reboot the mysql database so it can get rid of locked up requests.

So... dunno how long that'll take.

Calm Down!

So I forgot to pay the server bill on time because I was busy playing with Fireworks, and you lot thought I'd done a runner?! ;P

All the staff members now have a proper, non-ODP email for me which they can get in touch with me... and I've changed my invoice to a subscription which will make it automatic.

O.K, so I've been away for a while... and will continue being a way for a little longer - but seriously, I wouldn't abandon ODP - the amount of time and money invested by me and the staff!
